Well I ordered March 21st about 2am (Sunday). The frontpage of the website says:

X-ecuter 2.3B Pro $48.99
X-ecuter 2.3B Lite $37.99

ALL INSTOCK!!!

X-ecuter 2.3B Chips: All orders shipping within 24hours

well now its been about 36 hours since the start of business on Monday and my order is still pending (card charged though). So i got on thier IRC channel and jedi79 told me that they are shipping in 2 - 3 business days. Oh great already off to a bad start. Still thinking it might go well though.

I will update this post as I get more info

Updates:
22:00 March 23 : Talked with xl on IRC, confirmed it takes 72 hours to ship.
(NOTE: on IRC "xl" is tech support and "DeSi`" is owner of mods4less.)
(xl was really nice)

18:04 March 25 : recieved email reporting "New status: Shipped"
(Order status online updated with both "Shipped" and "Pending" for March 25)

17:47 March 28 : I sent an email requesting an explanation for my shipping status.
I received a reply that was ANOTHER email reporting that my order was
shipped, now March 28th! Checked the website again and saw that I now had
a confirmation number so I checked it. The USPS says "The U.S.P.S.
was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on March 28,
2004 to expect your package for mailing." So I dont think It was actually
shipped on the 25th, but I will see when it arrives.

17:00 April 5th : My Modchip arrived today standard class mail. Everything was exactly what it was supposed to be and worked fine.

SUMMARY : I would not do business with this company again. IF talk to them on IRC they will tell you about "backorders" which means that their website is untruthfull when it says "All modchips are in stock", and the shipping in 24 hours, forget about that! I ordered on the 21st and I believe that they shipped 6 business days later! They have some good people there but they should not have to lie to get my business.

This company stinks!, I ordered 2 chips and adapters on Dec. 31, 2003, then canceled the order 45 days later because they couldn't fill it.. ( I even got a confirmation that it was being credited yeah right ) then 1 week later I get a email saying my order was shipped ( shipped my cancelled order? Hmmm) well guess what.. They sent 2 chips, no solderless adapters and when I questioned why they shipped 1/2 the order not even the whole order they have the nerve to say I got a better chip so there.... I continued to email asking for my adapters, and finally now after 5 1/2 months I ordered the adapters from Modman (BTW modman got them to me in 2 days ) so after 5 and a half months Mods 4 less sent me a partial order.. Desi the owner will flat out lie to you about everything STAY AWAY from these guys.. Scam artist is what I see.....

So, I WOULD RECCOMEND Mods4less if you want to save a couple bucks, and are internet shopping savy. I would personally buy from them again too.

well i ordered a 2.6 lite + (first install ever) on 10/19/04 .... i recieved today 10/23/04 .... so far so good ... rip open case and go to tutorial on xapter and 2.x chips and see what i can figure out ... get it installed ... plug in and get the flash screen ... so far so good ... waiting for a bud to help me start the flashing procedure ...

i also chatted with a live tech on irc before i placed order asking if chip was indeed in stock ...

so far i say 2 thumbs up to mods4less ... maybe a turn-around in customer service !!! ??

Ronak Patel, or Ron Jenne is anglosized name. Is yet another example of foriegners coming here and screwing us. He is a scam. I did premods for him, but the last time, he failed to send me $1100, and left me standing in the dust. Who cares if sometimes he comes through. Dont put money into this pricks pockets, youll get burned if you do.

This is my third time ordering items from mods4less.com, and I've never had a bad experience. All items have arrived in a reasonable time, and are priced well.

The last order I placed was filled on the dec. 4th, shipped on the sixth, and I got it on the 10th of december.

I always refer people to mods4less.com, and I plan to order from them again.

Long Time Since I posted anything on these forums, but I just had such a completely terrible experience buying frm these guys that I had to let everyone know how BAD it was. I don't really even want to write the whole thing out again so here's a copy/paste from the email I sent them.

(1) XGABox and
(1) Smartjoy-X USB adapter for Xbbox Controllers

What I got is
(2) Magic Box converters for the Xbox

The "packing slip" that came with my order even reflects the correct items, but somehow the wrong stuff got in the box.

I placed the order on November 20th, and the page that loaded after I hit submit on the order had an error on it. Looked like whatever database you are running threw up. Think it was MySQl, but I don't remember. I can't remember because looking at it makes me want to throw up. I saved the page so I can send it if you want to see it. I already sent one copy, immediately after it happened. I finally received the delivery today, December 13th. that's 1 week shy of a month since I placed the order. Not only was it the wrong stuff, but the boxes are crushed, I'd be amazed if these things work. I'm sending them back, and I expect to be refunded the cost of shipping them back to you. I also want you to cancel my original order and refund my money. After the way this went and the condition those game adapters arrived in there's no way I'm paying you to send me anything.

Terrible service. Took over a month to get my Matrix. Also, no response to dozens of e-mails until I threatened legal action. There are several threads of several complaints with Mods4Less. I think the negative are slightly outweighing the positive...

If you want a Matrix, then this is the shop. You won't find one cheaper anywhere else.
