Good site, slow service.  I ordered almost 2 weeks ago and have yet to recieve my goods.  I understand that some sites can take time, but 2 weeks is quite a bit.  This made this even worse since they'd had my money for quite a while and I was starting to wonder.

I'm wondering whats taking so long. It's going on two weeks now, and I haven't heard anything. I'm not to upset, cause I have some IC's on order somewhere else that haven't arrived yet. The thing is, I know those parts will be in this Monday. I then can finish doing my led mod, but I have no idea when the stuffs coming in from master mods. I would atleast like to know about when I could expect the goods. I tried emailing mastermods, but got no response.

Nice website, but I have to say the service; in terms of customer service replies and shipping are horrendous. I ordered a simple case badge on July 2nd via Pay Pal. I noticed that the payment was accepted that day, but I never got an email or anything regarding my order. I decided to give it a few days, but after I never heard anything, I decided to email them. No response from my first email so I PM'd omen808 and no response there. I emailed again and explained my story again. I got a reply just saying that the ordered shipped on July 11th , no apology that it had taken 9 days just to process my simple order. I am not enraged because like I said it is only a case badge, but bad customer service is another thing. I hope to one day receive my order, but I will not be ordering from them again. I can see why there is free shipping now, to make up for the lack of quality service. Sorry for the slam guys, but just my experience. No offence to anyone in direct.

Guess what? It finally shipped. All this time I was being lied to. It had never been shipped. I finally got my USPS Track & Confirm #. This is what it says on USPS.com.

Your item was accepted at 3:05 pm on July 14, 2003 in BUFFALO, NY 14226. Status is updated every evening. Please check again later.

I tried the # yesterday when I received it, but USPS could not find it in their data system because it was just shipped yesterday and it hadn't had time to process the info to their web site.

They need to make things right. I've been lied to all this time, and never once has anyone tried to make things right. grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif  grr.gif

LOL, I recieved my case badge on the 17th, so mine only took 15 days! I got a very nice product and I am not upset about that, but took way too long to get here. If I would not have nagged them about my order, I know it would have taken longer. Good product, but I will never order from them again.

I have to agree, I will never order from them again. If I had known it would have taken this long, I wouldn't have wasted my time looking at their web site.

Finally got my skin, badge, and controller jewel.  Almost 1 month to the day of ordering.  This will be my only order from them.  I'm a little dissapointed that they didnt send any written instructions on how to attach skins.  The badge and jewel were self explanitory, but a nice written how to on application of the skins would have been nice.  I ended up not realizing that the skin was just sandwiched between two sheets of paper.  Doing so i ended up trying to cut the skin myself with an exacto and made a few mistakes.  Had I known, I would have just peeled it and installed.

Their customer service is really quite bad.  When we complained (me and other customers) on their forums they would just delete the topics as soon as they could.  I PM'd modd several times and never got a response.  I opened several tickets, never once being answered.  The website makes this company look like a large internet dot com.  Too bad its some guy sitting in his basement.

My suggestion:  Someone form a real company for this sort of stuff.  Have a wharehouse full of this stuff like amazon and get trained people to run it.  Its not that difficult.  Their products are quality, i give them that, too bad they treat people so badly.  Not once was I offered and appology or any compensation for my wait.  Not to mention the $5 shipping charge for .11lbs of items.  This should be about $1 standard USPS.  Bad experience.

You should've said something, ModArc, there is even a tutorial in the Tutorials section in the forums.

Yeah, they've been really slow lately.  It's a shame because they offer the best products.  But their forums aren't for customer service.

Starting a business is a risk few take.  Even fewer when it's a dotcom business.  Warehous, trained people, 'stuff like amazon', that's really expensive.  About shipping costs, $5 is about standard anyways.  Over at Amazon, shipping is $4.32 on average for the first item.

Mastermods was once great.  Now they're only mediocre.  They can become great again if they just haul ass.

Yes but Amazon gets the product there quickly and efficiently.  They use UPS or FedEx not USPS.  To ship thru USPS its relatively cheap and slow.

I read the tutorials and I must have read it incorrectly.  I just wish they would have been a little more specific.  Plus the tutorial talks about soaping up the xbox skin...didnt need to just peel and stick...so that tutorial is an ALTERNATE method which isnt really practical.

Yes but under the "mastermods" forums it says "Questions, comments, praise or whatever." yet every time we posted a comment it got deleted because it was negative. What else do you think should go here other than questions about anything (even if it is shipping) and comments (even if negative).

I'm not saying their products suck, I'm just saying overall as a company they're poor.  You give them and A+, I give them a C-.  Only not failing by the quality of their products.  I wish Modd would have contacted me at least once or offered some kind of reimbursment for my time.

Yeah... they're a great company, except for their slowness in replying to customers and shipping... isn't that what I said??

There are plenty of bad threads in their forums.  They just mostly turn into useless flames and end up deleted...

soaping is an old (and in my opinion very easy and practical) method of correctly placing a decal or sticker on something. Put half a teaspoon of any dish liquid soap in a cup or 2 of water, soap up the boxes top and fit the skin on. Then just squeegee the excess soapy water out from under the skin. Thats how I used to put big decals on cars when I worked at a body shop, its really the best way.

I recently made another order to mastermods so im not breaking the thread rules sleep.gif ....
