Takes a long time to ship to Canada
Ordered a light kit V1 - I followed the instructions to a 'T'. The screws were too long and pierced the top of my Xbox case. Now I have 2 pokey little bumps.
Because the screws were to long, I un-screwed them a little bit. Booted up the Xbox, and a terrible lawn mower-rattling noise was heard. The screws were so long, when they were not piercing through the top of the case, they were rattling against the DVD drive with disturbing force and noise.
I had to adjust again. Guess what happend next. One of the power leads on the flimsy circut board (this stuff is like paper) broke off. I had to bust out my soldering iron and repair this.
In the end, I got it working, but now my case is damaged. I bought a skin to cover the holes (not from mastermods), but there are still prominent markings from the piercings.
EDIT- I have been contacted by Omen from Mastermods. He apologized for this happening, and said he has never heard of it happening before. I believe him, because if it happend more there would be quite a few complaints, as quite a few members have ordered V1 light kits from mastermods.
Omen is going to send me a V2 Circut board with some proper screws and washers ... This kind of customer service is what you look for - people that listen to your problems and try to help you fix them.
MasterMods is an excellent online shop!
