Has anyone out there received an order from them recently???

I'm starting to wonder if they closed up shop and ran with the money.

Yesterday I received an response to every email I've send them over the last month.  They claim to be out of stock on my purchase and refunded my credit card.  Everyone who is still looking for a refund may want to strike while the iron is hot.

OK, this is going to be a rant/Flame.

WHY DO PEOPLE STILL BUY FROM HACKERSHARDWARE?
Every board I’ve come across that deals with modchips have nothing but horror stories in dealing with these crooks. Even this board. Do these people not do even the slightest checking about who they plan to do business with? Do they believe that of the hundreds/thousands of people who have been screwed they will be the exception? Do these same people believe in the tooth fairy? Santa? Competence in Canadian Government?
I mean even if you only read this site the warnings go back to late October.
This is just getting ridiculous.

I honestly believe that at this point, if you get screwed by these documented crooks, it’s because you’re a lazy dumbass and deserve what you get.

Sheesh, when will people realize that if you order with a credit card you can just call up the credit card company and put a stop payment on the credit.

Good Luck

i think its a little unfair some of the things being said about hackers hardware, i have been dealing with them for quite some time now and have never had a problem, even when i paid in advance for some stock with no way of tracing the payment, i got it in less than a week.

after investigating the matter (curiosity) i noticed the following:

1. a lot of the handles complaining against hackers hardware are the same handles that spend their entire time on this forum praising ozxchip as the gods of xbox.

2. hackershardware head office and ozxchips headoffice are wait for it...........2 hrs apart

so.........if your in australia and you wish to order from hackershardware then get a COD......that way you can be certain you get your stock!

before anyone jumps to the conclusion that i work for hackers hardware...i dont..i run cavernimports.com and am just getting sick and tired of all the wrong propaganda the ozxchip have been spreading

chris (ozxchip), go and do a soldering course and then mabby you wont need to spread gossip to wipe out the competition, you could live off repeat customers then!

it may be advisable that xbox-scene gets an ip adress filtering system to prevent multiple logins from the same  computer.

Subject: XBox-Scene post

Jon, I noticed that you had posted to a thread on xbox-scene about hackers hardware and mentioned the problems you had with Chris.

As we have discussed in previous emails your dealings with Chris in relation to PS2 modifications are not and will never be anything to do with OzXChip. I am extremely disappointed that I am now inheriting some of Chris' PS2 issues and I have raised my concerns with Chris.

I am also deeply annoyed that yourself and Chris are at a "stalemate" with regards to who owes who what and it is really shitting me off that as a result of this my company's reputation is being affected. Although I cannot offer any solution to this problem (and shouldn't have to) I will again ask Chris to resolve this matter with you.

I would also request personally of you to refrain from making the sorts of comments you have made about OzXChip in the future. I personally and OzXChip have never bad mouthed yourself or Cavern Imports and I ask for the same respect from you. I would appreciate it greatly if you could edit your post on XBox-Scene.

I would encourage you to employ alternative methods of recovering your funds from Chris McDonald such as legal action rather than trying to get the money from him by bad mouthing my company! If you do want to post your thoughts on Chris' PS2 dealings or workmanship on message forums I'd ask that you do so with no reference to OzXChip but instead referencing CMCD, Chris or whatever name you traded with him under and also keep it to PS2 related websites.

I have financed and established the OzXChip project with the assistance of Chris and his contacts whom are regarded as sub-contractors/consultants to my company. I have also on previous occasions indicated to you that I do not have any problems at all in dealing with yourself as a representative of Cavern Imports, so far my dealings with Chris/CMCD as both an OzXChip installer and consultant to OzXChip have been positive and I will be closely watching my dealings with him to ensure that it does not turn out like your relationship.

If you wish to discuss this matter with me further I would be happy to do so via a phone call.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email.

Mike

mike

personally i would think twice about dealing with chris as a professional, his soldering skills leave much to be desired and as long as he claims to be the mouthpiece for ozxchips then that is the way people will see him.  I am not the only one to gripe about his installation work, nobody is perfect, but for someone who claims to have "35 years of experience" then he really needs to fix things up.  his reputation amoung the modchip comunity is very fast becoming a liability to you.  whenever i have mentioned any problems with him i have also been very quik to point out that him by name and not just the company he works for.  I will seperate the two when i am satisfied that he no longer works for ozxchips, until then people who i consider fellow collegues need to know hat they should be carefull when dealing with him.  Having said that, i will on that particular post mention our conversation as a followup so that readers will not be confused.

regards

jon

make of it what you will, i have not had any  probs with "mike" personally, but if someone under his employ is ripping people off then he has to expect a little fallback untill he sacks the bastard.

I am disappointed our private discussion is now in the public arena but here is my followup to Jon's email response.

==========================================

Jon, Thankyou for your reply.

In regards to Chris' workmanship I have not had to deal with him in this area much and from my experiance his soldering skills are quite adequate for the service of installing the OzXChip. The area in which I use Chris' services does not involve his soldering skills.

He does do installs of the OzXChip and I will monitor his customers reaction in regards to this, the install itself is so simple I think that even someone with no soldering skills is still capable of completing a good install. I will however remove his details from our website until I can discuss this matter with Chris directly.

Chris offers technical support and some order handling for my customers as well as assisting me with finding contacts to perform things like the packaging of the OzXFlash concept that I came up with. I will discuss his role as a member of OzXChip's installer network when we next speak. I must acknowledge though that his contribution to starting up my company has been invalueable and in the early stages I did use him as a mouthpiece to gain some contacts in the modchip arena, he is an extremely energetic person and I did exploit this excitement for my project.

I have checked the post you made on the xbox-scene forum and although I am disappointed that our discussion is now part of the public arena I thank you for your understanding and co-operation in this matter!

As I have said previously I have made no judgements about yourself or Cavern Imports based on your dealings with Chris, I have not had any dealings directly with your company and as such am not in a position to make such judgements. I too expect the same in return.

Kind Regards, Mike
