I got this awhile back for trade for modding services.

From what the guy told me it has no bluray drive.

From what I understand there is some kind of controller board or something for the drive.

I do not know if this was removed or what not. Guess the ps3 drive is like the 360 and locked to the system.

So here's the deal:

$45 shipped and this is yours.

You might be able to replace the drive and you might not. Perhaps you can use it just for a cheap media streamer and play downloadable PSN games or something of that nature if the drive is not able to be replaced.

I have never took a PS3 apart. I do not feel like taking this apart. So it will be up to you to determine if the drive is replaceable. The case has some scratches on it, nothing like deep gouges or anything.

From what I can see the PS3 functions just fine. Dashboard boots, internet works, hard drive works. Just no drive
