thought most people knew how to use own boot images, but here goes :
Make a picture called bootimage.png, put it next to the xbe.  boot.


we will always change the default boot logo, and there will always be people hating it, but others will like it.  It's just an example, not the only option.

i just rebooted and i was fine.  i was suprised by the pic, not offended, i could care less.  only i'd rather it be a real woman then a cartoon...

I tried creating my own bootimage.png and dropping it under C: since 49.3 didn't come with a bootimage, but the merry xmas girl still shows up instead. I have the older Xecuter 2.3. Is there something else i need to do to change the boot image?

Nevermind, I finally got it. I deleted the file xmasgreet04 from /E:/TDATA/080299ff/ and then put my imageboot.png (with correct NTSC size) under C: with my avalaunch.xbe  I turned off my xbox and then restarted it and the girl appeared again along with the greeting text. Once in the dashboard, I again did a hard boot and turn the console off, waited a second or two, and then turned it back on again. Wa la! My bootimage.png showed up and no more Merry Xmas chick.

 The Xmas build I have doesn't have the girl boot image.  I updated through avas update feature.  Anyway, there seems to be a lot of rediculous controversy about this boot image.  Can somebody post it up here?  Keep the new boot images coming.  I like variation.  The girl boot image can't be that bad.

xmas girl update was just in the xmas days, hit update now and it's gone.
