I got two Xbox 360 systems JTAG modded Verminaard in November.

I'm very happy with his services -- he's one of the best modders available.

The one system I went to GModz in Markham to mod.  It took GModz 3 hours to work on the system, and they were not able to mod it because they said it had bad blocks.  A friend of mine had similar problems with his Xbox 360 having bad blocks and not having a JTAG mod go cleanly on it.  My friend went to Verminaard and he did the job just right and fixed up the first modders attempt.  I did the same with my Xbox 360.  He explained what he had to do and did the job without any problems.  Now my Xbox 360 that I was told from GModz would not be JTAGable is now JTAGed.  Not only that, but he put the latest firmware and patches on the system to make things easier for me.  

The second Xbox 360 that I got JTAGed at the same time, again, I was told by GModz that it was not mod-able because it was on NXE (although, according to the internet on a early version that is JTAG mod-able).  Again, Verminaard modded it without any problems.

He was kind and very knowledgeable.  I wouldn't go anywhere else and I'll be definitely consulting him on all future system mods.

I live downtown and I was wondering if I could get your professional opinion on something.
    A year or so ago, I decided to flash my 360's DVD drive. It's a samsung and right now I'm pretty sure I have it on iX1.6, since I'm able to play wave 4+ games. That is, I WAS able to play burned backups. I haven't tried it in a while, but I recently decided to play some backups and found that my DVD drive is not doing very well.

    I've been using memorex discs since I flashed it the first time, and I've gotten a couple coasters but mostly they've been good burns. I flashed a friend's drive a while back and he had no problem running discs I burned for him (his was a benq I believe... yep, still have the OFW on here). So I'm pretty sure it isn't a problem with the media.

    Now, when I first flashed my sammy it had trouble reading burned discs for a while. I looked all over for a solution on the internet, finally concluding that my drive moved the laser too far to the inside of the disc (I ran it with the drive cover off and noticed that when I put in a disc, the laser would be trying to read past the burned data on the disc towards the middle and then told me there was no disc, resulting in the infamous "open disc tray" and "no disc found" errors) So I took the advice of several people on various forums and stuck a tiny piece of plastic in the drive to keep the laser from moving too far. I'm sure you'll balk at my solution, but it really did work. Games read fine for a while, but like I said, recently I've been getting disc read errors in the middle of games when I know the burn is a good one, on all games I try to play.

    So the laser's probably shot, and the setup I have now is pretty much a kludge anyways, so I was thinking of replacing it with something a little more reliable. I'm pretty confident that I can do it myself, but I'm not sure where exactly to get a replacement drive, nor what kind of drive to get to replace a samsung. I believe I have a xenon board, since there's no HDMI port. Also, if I decide it's out of my league, how much would you charge to replace my DVD drive?

    This box is already banned, so I also want to uncripple my hdd functions. I definitely do not feel confident with soldering onto the board (but I'm interested in trying). After I get a new DVD drive and uncripple my hard drive, I'm going to spoof a 250g laptop drive and put it in the casing so I will never have to worry about my laser burning out again. I'm going to install all my games from here on out. I can provide you with the OFW of my samsung if you want it, and I would be very willing to deliver my 360 to you via TTC if necessary.

I just had my harddrive functions uncrippled and my DVD drive replaced by Verminaard. I bought a jtag from Verminaardd recently.  I'm pretty new around here, and went ahead based on the other comments in this thread.  I wasn't disappointed!  Very quick, professional, and pleasant service.  Great prices, and the entire transaction was very smooth.  Not much more to say other than I'm loving my jtag, and would definitely recommend Verminaardd's services to anyone.  I know I'll be going back to him again should I need to.
