If you don't have the keyvault or nand dump from the banned console, can it still be done as long as you have one from the unbanned?

Maybe not pointless in certain situations. I have an older xbox 360 that is on its death bed and collecting dust. I have a shiny new, banned one. Do a keyvault switcharoo, hope you don't get banned...call it a day.

as long as you get the vaultkey and cpu key from the unbanned and overwrite them on the banned console your xbox live gaming will continue. but keep in mind, if you unban a console and it gets banned, both your console and the unbanned one will be banned because they share the same cpu and vaultkey now.
