What makes your repair service different than insert name here?Most firmware and repair technicians around will attempt what we like to call an "X-Clamp" fix on your XBOX 360 to repair the RROD error you may have received. While this method MAY work some of the time, sadly, its not only unsafe for your console and doesn't fix every error your XBOX 360 could come across. XBOX Tuner analyzes each console to determine its specific error code and fixes it accordingly. For GPU, CPU, and H/ANA chips that break solder points off of the XBOX 360 motherboard, we completely remove the chip, desolder the points on it, clean the motherboard up, reball the chip, and then reflow the chip back onto the board. This process is not done with heat guns; as heat guns use static electricity to operate and could potentially cause damage to your system. We also will not use pennies to secure your chips down.
Using pennies is dangerous! Should a penny come unsecured in your system during or after shipping, it could short out your console and cause it not to work at all. We use a high quality rework station which heats the top and bottoms of the XBOX 360 motherboard to temperatures high enough to melt the solder on the chip, allowing us to pull it from the board and repair it. The same process happens when we place it back onto the board. This is the most reliable process to repairing the RROD.
Do you remove the X-Clamps then?Absolutely not. Regardless of whether or not the XBOX 360 has design flaws, if it was made to have screws and washers holding down the heatsinks, it would've came that way to begin with. After our repair we replace the X-Clamps and X-Clamp screws back into place and tighten them down securely. If your XBOX 360 has fallen victim to an "X-Clamp fix" and still doesn't work properly, we do replace the "fix" with the original X-Clamps for a small fee.
Do you offer a warranty for your service?YES! All RROD repairs come with a 90 day limited warranty from the time of the repair. This is ample time after the repair to determine whether or not the error will occur again. Should the error happen during this period, we will do whatever it takes to fix the problem for free. If the problem cannot be fixed, you can trade your XBOX 360 in for credit on a cheap used modded or non-modded XBOX 360 console.
Do you offer modding services? If so, which drives do you mod?Of course. We offer DVD drive flashes for one of the lowest prices around. We mod all consoles to date, including consoles with Lite-On DVD drives. We are equipped with the Xtractor360 and Spear add-on, which allows for quick and safe key extraction from these drives.
