Xbox 360/PSP/Xbox Flasher In Baltimore Md.
« on: August 23, 2008, 10:21:00 AM »

I'm doing this because I'm imensly bored, and bought an SATA controller just to reflash my drive after having XS Filter - 030308 do it with 8x and having the drive be insanely slow.

Stand-ins/watchings are allowed.

I've done 2 Hitatchi 78 drives, 1 Hitatchi 59, 1 Samsung drive, and one Hitatchi 79 drive.

You can send me either just the drive, or the XBOX itself. You just pay for shipping both ways.

I can do any drive except the Lite-On, until C4EVA hacks it. I also do kernel downgrades for a price.

I just want to put this VIA chipset to good use, so I didn't spend 10 dollars just to flash 2 friend's drives.

I used to softmod Original Xboxs for free a few years back.  Of course, I wasn't selling/buying/trading on xbox-scene at the time, or on the site for that matter.  I used to do it locally.

I regret not charging them tongue.gif  You'll regret it to after you add up all the hours spent on all the drives you'll flash.

It's not like my time is valuable. Once I get my 2 programs coded per day, I'm set for a 70K year pay check.

So, money isn't really the situation.

I also did softmods for free locally. But I did offer a HDD upgrade for free + the cost of the drive. I'd also preload it with some goodies.

I'm just offering some heat for the competition doing it for free. Gotta keep the bigwigs in check. Gotta let them know we're not gonna take it. No, we ain't gonna take it. We're not gonna take it anymore.

lol. Hey Sam.

BTW: Kernel downgrades are clocked by time it takes to install from the first solder point to the last. $6.00 for the first 30 minutes. .25 cents for each 10 minutes after that. I usually get it done in 45 minutes roughly. It'll also be clocked if I'm taking off the chip. Or, I can leave the attacker on the mobo for the chip's price whatever it is.

Hey m8, I live in Charles County, do you think we could work something out where you extract the keys from a new Xbox (Lite-On drive most likely) and then flash it to an older DVD drive that has custom firmware available.  I wouldn't mind meeting you in person, maybe you could even show me a trick or two, but if you rather not have a stranger in your home I understand and would just mail it.  Even if you can't do this please PM me if you have any ideas on how to somehow get a 360 and have it play backups in this age.  I am working with a guy in Cali. who buys broken 360s and fixes them up, but since I got the box from him it has broken down 2 times and the cost for shipping back and forth + pay for parts is almost enough to buy a new elite box (I may as well go totally retail at this rate, *pulls hair out*).

heh thx - DBG

I responded.

I do have to charge for doing a Lite-On drive, because I'd like to buy the Spear by Maximus, and it's a pretty penny to buy the connectivty kit + Spear. Runs about 68 dollars with shipping to me.

The last guy who had me do a Lite-On provided a connectivity kit, which I just soldered the wires for free. But, he bought my spare MS25 drive I pulled from my RRoD box.

I have another Samsung MS28 drive lying around that should be in working condition. Someone sent me a box to repair the 3RRoD syndrome, and then disappeared off the face of the earth, but refused the package when I sent it back. I never fixed the box, because he never sent payments, so I kept the box.

If I get enough orders, I'll start doing Lite-Ons.

Thanks to a TechBox dig, I've recovered my Pandora's battery.

I can now also do PSP firmware downgrades for free. Contact me through the usual means if interested.

EDIT: I've also found my memory card with the softmod software on it. Can also do XBOX softmods, and if interested, HDD upgrade and a TSOP flash.

To Gir489:

I found your forum posts and wonders if you can help me. I had an xbox 360 give me the RROD (error code 0102). I tried fixing it myself but gave up and just purchased a new one. I want to mod the new one and try to fix the older one if possible. The new one came with a lite on drive and I don't feel like the hassle of remodding the newer box myself. Could you read the key from the Lite On drive and remod my samsung drive? Just let me know what you charge.
