Boston Area Wii Mod-chip Installer
« on: January 14, 2008, 10:56:00 PM »

Hey all. I'm new to xbox-scene but I have experience modding Wii's (DMA, D2A, D2B... sorry not comfortable with D2C yet). If you're in the Boston area and are looking for someone to mod your wii feel free to PM me. My basic cost is $50 to install a chip. I'll install any of the popular versions. If you don't already have a chip I can build you an OpenWii chip for an additional $20 (less if I have extra parts and don't have to buy them all).

I'll consider offers and trades as well so feel free to contact me to discuss anything.

If you're not familiar with OpenWii, it's a really good-chip with open source hardware (meaning if you can handle a soldering iron, you can make it yourself) and software and a really helpful community. I use an OpenWii in my own system and I haven't found a backup that it wouldn't work with. My favorite feature is the self-update. Just burn the update disk .iso to a DVD and pop it in the wii like its a game.

Hi,

I am actually looking into getting my wii modded, but I dont want to do it myself. I heard the wiikey is good, but you say you also have an alternative? Does Open key work just as well as the wii key?

I f the price your alternative is decent I wouldnt mind you modding my wii, however I live in grand rapids, MI, so I would have to mail it to you. Im not sure if your up to doing something like that or not.

Im sure you wouldnt rip me off haha.

tell me what you think.

My email is [email protected]
