Just left a message for the PD to call me back regarding this guy.  If my memory serves me...the total dollar value of the crime has to ready a certain dollar limit to become a felony.  So, this would be a case that there is power in numbers.  Just my 2 cents.

I personally think that haze has horrible service.
He gets you to send your stuff and and once you tell him its mailed he never talks to you again.
He put leds and a tiltboard in mine and when i got it back it wasnt working so i opened up the controller. Almost everything was done the wrong way. This really pissed me off because I wasted $60 on parts and stuff and a $50 controller. If someones thinking of modding there console before sending to ANYONE please read a tutorial on how to do it because its not that hard. Use google im sure ull find a bunch of links even video tutorials.

I've been following what's been happening recently and it doesn't seem to be all that uncommon on these forums. In fact, once, if, you guys solve the issue with this "modder", I recommend to the admins to just shut the BST forums down completely. Obviously a lot more harm than good is being done here, and with the current system in place it is just WAY too easy to scam people.

About the only advice I can give you guys is to ACT NOW. Time is seriously against you in these situations, and not to take any BS excuses/lies from anyone. Scammers are usually pathological liars and know exactly how to manipulate situations to give them... TIME.

"Don't worry you can trust me I'm a cop/from the army!" is one example from here and blackcats.

"Don't worry, won't worry, I will finish it soon."
"I didn't get any calls from you."

If you paid for a premod and it's been almost a month, request for a refund. If you get BS excuses etc, call you CCC immediately and have them cancel the transacation, if you used debit/bank, it's a little harder, but you need to go to you local branch and explain the situation to them.

To those who wish to flame me after this post, don't bother. This is my first and last on this thread.

Just talked to Capt. Robert Shorter and gave him my info and story. I said Haze had my DVD drive, modchip and 65 dollars for service. He said he's been getting lots of calls and is going to try and call everyone back as soon as he can. I got lucky to reach him he said. Capt. Shorter sounds like a very decent bloke and he told me he wants to put an end to this sort of behavior. Call him up guys!

good to hear, i called earlier today and i am waiting for a call back from him.... the lady who answered the phone told me an abundance of people have been calling

Now I'm wondering whether I should report my wii + 150 in services. Do you know if the PD is trying to get the items back? I do have the serial number for my wii.

I can't imagine that Haze sold these consoles...I know I didn't send anything other than the console itself.  How much could you really get?  

It would be great if they did recover all of our stuff, but that may be wishful thinking.  My fingers are crossed!

I waited over two months for my console to come back to me and I guess it's now time to buy another one.  Like everyone else on this board, I'm just angry that this guy lied and repeatedly lied.  I hope the sheriff can track him down.  Since all of our consoles together are probably worth more than $1,000, under South Carolina law, this guy could be charged with grand larceny.  If you go on ebay and search for "used Wii"  - they're selling at nearly $400 a pop.  It's quite a little business he had going there:  he tricked us into sending him our consoles for free and charged us for repairs that never happened and then turned around and sold them on ebay for a nice profit.  He probably also advertises his "services" on other websites under different names.  This guy clearly needs to be stopped. I hate the idea that I'm losing faith in trusting people on the internet.  

I hope he gets what he deserves.   muhaha.gif   Buah ha ha ha ha!!!

RIP PS2 sniff!

Update date on mine the post office said the have the info but cant verfy if it was sent to me but after providing info and talking to a suprivsor they verfied it was to be shipped to me but dont know any thing else. now jw if i am scammed is there a way the PD or anyone can get my money back along with my system you think?

sounds like he just did the electronic delivery # tracking, and never shipped it. Better call his local police and add your report to the list or haze might end up getting to keep your system. Be sure and have your serial #

This really hurts my faith in people haha. I decided to call the PD but didn't get the captain. But the receptionist got my info and said they would call tomorrow around 2pm (the captain has like training or something before that).

Now does anyone know who I contact to retrieve my money in google checkout? Thanks to everyone for sharing their experience here. I think I'm ready to move on and get a new wii so I can finally play some damn smash bros.

Yes contact google checkout customer support. They have been working with me and have been helpful. I also contacted my bank which happens to hate fraud so they have already returned my 125.00.
[email protected] this is the email I used. explain to them you contacted his local authorities and tell them the website. They will esculate the claim. If I can help anyone more let me know I am willing  to help as much as I can
