An explanation would be great.  I would rather hear the truth about what's going on rather than assume.

You returned all my e-mails prior to me sending my console in...now you have been MIA for over a week.  Please give us an update on your status.

well i just filed a complaint with paypal, and as soon as i did this was the message on the screen for the next step

this sucks for you guys. Last time i posted about how bad his 79 passkey install was he responded so i'll try again. drive took about a month, put it in my xbox and got an error. opened the drive to see the passkey help on by glue and falling off. removed the passkey and it worked. Had to email him for my original firmware....hopefully he emailed the right one. 2nd order with haze i had him mod the leds in two rings of light, change the leds in 6 controllers and repair a drive that was shot (switched my board with a drive he has handy and it took over a month to receive back and the usps priority shipping he sent it took 10 days...yeah right...after that ordeal i refused to do any more business with haze and told him that his customer service was horrible.....who knew it would all lead to this.



I'm hoping for the best for all you guys....and will keep a close eye to see the outcome

You only have 30 days to file a dispute with paypal so get to it.  Anyone know if paypal will take legal action if they get enough complaints?

i would imagine that if he changed bank accounts on paypal, and they cant get their money, if there is enough complaints i am sure they would get tired of having to shell money out of there own pockets to us...and they would seek legal action against him

btw, if he doesn't respond to me...i will take legal action myself.  At this point i am being more than generous to him, and asking for my drive back and the money i paid for services, i will eat the shipping costs that i incurred sending him the drive, and the lenghty wait and damn near nervous breakdown from this whole ordeal.

that is more than fair enough, and i am offering him a way out of this scenario, all he has to do is comply.  If thats to much to ask from him, i will pursue legal action

I paid via Google Checkout and they have a 90 payment dispute policy.  I can ride this wave for a little while longer, but we need to find out what we can do about the consoles.  I don't think shipping insurance will cover it, but I hope someone on here proves me wrong.

Wow, I was just checking into this thread b/c Haze did a great job on my Wii a couple months ago.  Anyway, I still have his contact information in my phone, so maybe this will help you.  I have a phone # of xxx-xxx-xxxx and his name is John.  I don't remember the specifics on how I got the phone #.  I hope this information helps you guys get your problems resolved.

Once again, this guy did me right and I'm very appreciative.  Good luck.

PM me for the #.  I just saw that he is responding to this thread a couple of days ago.  I'll give out the # on a case by case basis.

Thanks EnjoyLife!  I wonder how long it will take John to change his number...

It seems like he does a great job...when he does it.  I still have my fingers crossed that everything works out.  I know a lot of people are waiting until today to file complaints...it should be interesting.

when you call the phone number a spanish women answers. Not sure who that is but when she answers the phone goes silent. Time to get the rosetta stone out. Unless I just curse her out in spanish.

okay people here is ther real deal about Haze. I just got off the phone with a Captain Robert Shorter with the salude county sheriffs office, and he knew before I said the name about Mr John Canady. John Canady and his wife are known scammers on ebay. This officer has had more than one run in with Mr Canady and his wife. He states that this is a new twist for john and his wife and needs people to call in to start a report. His ebay scam was selling laptops and never sending the products to people, sound familiar. I am sending everything I have on John canady, emails reciepts anything I have. If you need the number to the sherrifs office to file your complaint its (864) 445-2112. Its not the first time they did this and it sounds like its not going to be the last.

I went through google checkout as well, so I suppose i can get my money back on that part. I took out $250 insurance on my wii when i shipped it via UPS. Tracking shows it was only delivered to the FRT DOOR. So Hopefully i can get a insurance claim going on that. Ugh..

I guess Haze was only on there posting last week to get everyone off his back a few days while he made his escape.

Do you think we are allowed to do an insurance claim on ups. I mean they fullfilled there part by delivering it. Let me know how yours goes.

I had UPS bring up my shipping report and it says that they delivered my Wii to a Man on Feb 18th at 1:04pm.  The guy at the UPS store basically told me that they are not liable for the package once it was delivered.  I have a good friend that is a shipping manager at UPS that I am working with right now.  He said the following:

You need to call the 1800 number for UPS and file a complaint.  They will then send someone to the address that the package was sent to...if Haze says that he didn't receive the package UPS will pay you for your claim.  It may take up to 2 weeks for UPS to pay you for your claim.  Not sure if this will work, but its worth a shot.  Good luck.
