basically it's called "softmoding" once it's done to your xbox u can basically do all the stuff a modchiped xbox can  and the good thing is it's "free" if u know what to do and what to download from #xbins etc.

basically a program called XBoxHDM and kingroach's ndure 3.0 is what u need and u can get your xbox to do all the good stuff.

you will have to open the case on your xbox to use XBoxHDM though and it requires connecting the pc into the xbox's hard drive via the pc's ide cable.

hotswapping is VERY dangerous..


use software exploit instead.

is there a way for me to backup my HDD before I do this? and will this allow me to put Evox on it?

EDIT:cant use software exploit ,no action replay, no mech assult and no money to buy them.

basically what he said above about it being very dangerous... i would not agree with him tottally... yes, there is some risk that u could possibly damage your xbox/pc in theory but im sure it's not common cause i did it multiple times myself and never damaged anything.

basically once u do what i said u can gain ftp access and then backup your hard drive then u can transfer over your xbox's C and E partitions to your PC.

also it's a good idea to get a fresh copy of msdash and include that on your XBoxHDM cd in case u happen to mess up your C drive on the xbox... then u can fix your xbox with the msdash on the cd ... one time while i softmoded with the methods i said... something went wrong (software wise) and the msdash was corrupt but i was able to fix it with the XBoxHDM cd.

hope that helps a little (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ... basically the way i listed is pretty much the only way u can do it unless u get the games needed (which costs money) which u already said u dont got.

as for your evox question... yes it can allow u to use evox but i believe it comes with UnleashX as a dashboard which is better than evox anyways (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

You can make your own Action Replay with a usb flash drive.. then you wire up a usb port to a controller dongle and you're done.. you can either find mech assault, splinter cell, or 007.
