I just had my 1.6b modded by flbeserk. As a newbie to the scene, I thought anyone hitting this post would be interested in knowing my experience:
1. Arranged to drop off the xbox on the phone after a few messages in the forum (Local to Philly). He mostly deals with people who send their xbox by mail.
2. Had a previously modded xbox, that stopped working and I didn't know why.
3. Brought him my box and the DuoX2 that I told him I thought was broken.
4. He called me a few hours later and told me that he finished troubleshooting the Xbox, found the source of the problem and fixed the mistakes by the previous installer who did a poor job.
5. Went to pick it up, insisted to pay $30 for the install and went home a very happy man.
So, if you happen to look for a local philly modder or someone to send your new toy for modding, I can highly recommend the services of flbeserk. He could have taken advantage of my ignorance and charged me for another chip or charged me more for troubleshooting and fixing my previous chip install. Instead he gave me excellent service, good advice and even offered a "warranty" to fix it again for free in the unlikely event that it should crap out on me again.
