Modchip Installs And Xbox Repairs In Central Ohio
« on: December 26, 2005, 11:02:00 PM »

Hey there.

I have an old thread from when I lived in Southeastern Ohio, here.  I live in Westerville now (just east of Columbus), so I figured I'd make a new thread.

I still do the same services for the same prices...however I work during the week, so I can only work on Xbox's on weekends.  You can either mail it or drop it off for me to work on, and I'll have it done by the end of the weekend (99% of the time I'll have it done within an hour...but I like to say a weekend to be safe).

You can check my old thread for people who've brought or sent their xboxes to me.  Thanks for shopping

MODCHIP INSTALLS:

Xecuter (2.6 or X3) - $20 installation

SmartXX - $25 installation

Xenium - $25 installation

**If you have a 1.6 Xbox, it'll be an additional $5 to whatever chip install you want me to do.**

HARD DRIVE UPGRADE:

Installation and set-up of a new hard drive - $20
**New hard drive will come with your choice of dashboard, dvd2xbox, Xbox Media Center, and some Emulators (I also have tons of other apps that I'll put on by request as long as it's legal)**

XBOX REPAIRS:

Prices depend on the amount of work needed to fix it and any expenses of additional parts needed.  I will not purchase any parts to replace or use without notifying the owner first and getting their permission.  I will provide the owner with a receipt of the cost of parts needed for the job.
Thank you

Free bump!

I just sent you an email with some questions, but in case you didn't receive them, or you see this post first:

1. Where exactly do you live? I live up in Dublin, so hopefully not too far away.
2. Would you be willing to repair a broken d0 trace on the motherboard, and if so, at what cost to me?
3. I already have the chip installed, but it keeps fragging, would you be willing to figure out the problem?

Any response would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to email me at [email protected]

I just sent you a reply to your email...but here's an answer here as well.

I live in Westerville, about 5 minutes off of 270

I'd be glad to take a look at the broken trace and see what I can do.  I do have a little bit of experience with that problem.  As for the cost, that I'm not sure of yet.  I doubt I need any extra supplies, so the price will be dependant on how much work I have to put into it.  Probably around $25-$35.

The chip wouldn't be able to work with a broken d0 trace, so that could be causing it.  I'll know more when I see it though.  What type of chip do you have?

Thanks,
~Charles

Also, just to clarify.  The $25-35 price would be assuming I need to fix the install for the chip also.  If all it takes is a quick fixing of the broken trace, it'll be cheaper.
