Xbox Screwed From All Angles

first of all im sorry guys...if these are n00b questions..

ok...so i boot up my xbox...it shows up error 13...fine.....ive searched for this and ive found a solution....re-install evox...so i downloaded slayers 2.6.....burned it to a CDRW....booted up fine...nd then i select restore m$ dash....it runs through nd says done...i then connect to my pc...nd ftp seems to be working fine....i goto c drive...nd nothing has restored...so i go back to my xbox...nd try to rebuild evox...this runs through and says done...i connect back to my computer nd i find tht again nothing has restored...so i decide to ftp the files from slayer to my xbox...this is wat happens

i cannot transfer any file what so ever to my xbox........dwnloading is fine....this method didnt work so i figured that my CDRW with slayers 2.6 must of been buggered.....i then burned slayers to a dvd-r.....same thing happend....wen ever i clicked on any of the rebuild apps options....it appeared to be working and said done...but really nothing happened...ive searched and searched and searched...and just had to post...there was nothing else to do...

does anyone have a solution to this....any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks a lot

Is that your original drive in the xbox or a new one?  I had a problem re-instaling ms-dash on my new hard drive, it would go through the motions of installing it and say it was done, but I would go an look... nothing!  I ended up backing up my C:\ deleting all the M$ stuff and then re-installing and it worked fine.

hi there...thanks for replying .im using a new drive not the original...i cannot backup c:/ as there is nothing there

Have you tried just reformatting the drive and then installing Evox/Apps/MS Dash?  Maybe you should try a different installer, such as AID.

I would suggest a reformat and reinstall of everything on the HDD (note: a reformat will cause you to lose EVERYTHING on your HDD).

hi yea....ive tried formatting the drive a couple of times...it looked to be working and after it was done...i rebooted my xbox to find all my files were still there..thanks for the help anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ...im going to try a different installer

Yeah, there are quite a few.  Good luck with that, I don't see any reason why trying a new installer shouldn't work.  Be sure to post your results.
