Eject And Back To The Evox Dashboard. Can't!
« on: December 11, 2005, 01:07:00 AM »

Hello,
I have the version 1.0 XBOX modded with the Xenium ICE.  I'm using the EvoX Dashboard and EvoM8+ bios.  I really like how everytime I eject a game from the CD-rom drive, it goes back to the dashboard.  However, for some strange reason, it now goes back to the MS dashboard.  It was working fine before for a few months, but now it's not. I haven't messed with anything since it was working fine.  Could it be the bios isn't stable?  Should I re-flash the bios?  Suggestions please!
Thanks in advance.

I'd like to see what your fix is, every time I eject a game while playing I get a dirty disk error and just have to reboot the xbox.

For you, I would suggest getting a bios WITHOUT the eject fix.  This way, your Xbox will ALWAYS reboot to your dashboard (Evox, in this case) when you eject your disc, like a normal Xbox boots to the MS Dash.  However, make sure you then get a bios that HAS the Eject Trick, which is described as:
QUOTE
if xbe is compiled with specific flag, the xbox will not reset when you press eject-button

so when you are ripping a game or in Evox, the Xbox doesn't reset when you eject the disc.
Head on over HERE for a description of bioses that do and do not support these, and a desciption of the hacks and fixes.
As for the original poster, I suggest trying this as well.  It MIGHT help.
