Xbox Live Question
« on: May 05, 2005, 06:03:00 AM »

This may or may not be a stupid question. Sory I could not find the answer anywhere.

I have EvolutionX with a mod chip that can be turned off and I would like to use Xbox Live. I have not got an upgraded HDD.

I want to prevent my Xbox from accidentally connecting to live while the chip is on.

I have the type of chip that you just hold the power button in longer to activate. I am a little aprehensive about going on live because I'm worried I will accidently hold in the button longer, or foget while the xbox is connected to the net.

To me it seems obvious to just set the setup network option in evox to no, thus preventing network access and Xbox Live. Is this correct? Or will it still connect using the MS dash settings?

Xbox Live Question

well it's this simple... when the modchip is enabled u need a bios like X2.5023 (or bios's from X2.4981 or newer) as those have xbox live blocking built into the bios... so even when the chip is ON it should block you from accessing xbox live... when modchip is off use xbox live like normal.

since u never upgraded the hard drive u most likely wont be banned since the last i knew... people said whatever hard drive u registered your xbox live account on is the hard drive your stuck with... so basically if u registered your stock hdd u cant use another hard drive in it for xbox live or u will get banned.

have a good day ;)
