Files Fail To Transfer
« on: April 09, 2005, 07:50:00 AM »

Hi, Iv been struggling with file transfering on my xbox for a while. iv had games games and mp3's and films etc running of the hard drive for a while, but the problem is its hit and miss. alot of games wont transfer due to the fact that many of the files fail to transfer. i use flash fxp and evolution x.

Sometimes also, it will keep on transfering the same file over and over for hours untill i have to stop the tranfer.

Other times, it will only tranfer half of a film. Half of my mp3's also fail to tranfer due to the file names. it seems verry choosy.

can any1 suggest solutions to these problems? <

try to shorten the length of the filenames of the files you are transferring.

i had a similar problem, you can rename the files once they have been transferred to the xbox.

hope this helps <

First:
Are you sure there is enough free disk space in the xbox hard disk?

Second:
Use qwix instead of flash fxp for the games
and pick up your movies/mp3/pictures directly from your pc...
Download ccXstream server gui from here (http://ccxgui.xboxmediacenter.de/ccxgui_1.41.exe)
Install it, then share the folder(s) you want to and start the server.
Now go to xbox media center, enter in xbms and you'll see what you shared... <

just a side note: "QUIX" works best with the dashboard "avalaunch" (atleast if u want to have all the features that QUIX supports. <
