I cant see the cables that you are using, but why do you need to run your video through your amp? That makes no sense. I have my component cables going into the back of my TV and my optical going into my onkyo. The amp is for SOUND, the TV is for VIDEO. There is zero reason you would need to be running your video in your amp.
Hopefully this link works better
http://www.wildwestelectronics.net/micxboxmonga.htmlthe cables I'm using have the video and optical combined and do not seperate to go further than 6 inches aways from eachother, so unfortunatley I think I bought the wrong calbes because I have to choose one or the other, it just wont reach both.

does your tv have audio output run all your xbox cables to your tv then audio out from tv to the inputs on the amp
My tv does not have audio output which is really stupid since it is a newer tv with all the latest stuff.

if hes running multiple devices that use the HD connections on his TV the reciever is a necessity to hook up everything through *one* monitor input (dvd player, xbox, ps2, maybe a pc, another dvd player, HDTV cable/sat, another dvd player)
i think its a legit question, but its very likely his receiver can't handle 720+. which sux. save some $?
Although it is true that I would like to have multiple devices hooked into my high def, the xbox is the most important. Advice to anyone who is looking to buy cables for their box and run it through the amp: buy the optical and video seperate!
I guess 480p will work for now

thanks again for the ideas.
