Installing Evox
« on: December 07, 2004, 02:15:00 AM »

i just got a friends xbox and he wants me to install evoX. The thing is this xbox got the phillips one and i have the thompson in mine so i cant get any DVD-R or RW to be read on the phillips one. Im thinking of installing his harddrive in my xbox and just install it on mine and then placing it back in his. That should work, right?
nothing you need to install in the bios or anything with the 2.6 autoinstaller. His chip is Xenium and bios is installed etc.

if you unlock his hard drive on his xbox first it should work.
if that doesn't work I suggest:
look for a cdrw
use ftp

Check out this post if you are having problems getting a BIOS disc or EvoX disk to read.  It's a work around but it saves time and you can get everything you need from either your computer or a friend most likely.  Good luck
