I have a Xbox version 1.0. I installed a matrix last month and it worked for two weeks. Then one day the xbox would not start. So I moved the matrix around to see if that would help. It did work. The next day, I was playing NBA Street 2 which I copied and ran from the hard drive. I was running the Xecuter bios and using Px-Hdd loader to play the game. When I finished, I reset the game using the IGR setting. The xbox then gave me an error number, forgot which one, and then I ejected the disk tray and put in the evox cd and it gave me another error number and the xbox needs service screen. I took the xbox apart and played with the matrix for a while. Nothing worked. I soldered both jumpers on the top and bottom to try a tsop flash but nothing happened. I returned the matrix because I thought it was burnt out. I am still awaiting its return. I have a chameleon also. I removed the solder from the lpc holes and put the header pins in. I did not solder them because I wanted to make sure it would work. Well, the chameleon blue light shines, but I still get the Christmas lights routine. Three starts and red and green. I need to fix this. I still am working with the original hd. I even tried the d0 spot to bypass the xbox tsop, but I know I shouldn't have to because I have the jumpers soldered. I tried everything and now I need help. If anyone can help me for a reasonable price or can give me advice, reply.
