I just read your post in "mod chip chat". Your on board TSOP is either corrupt or has been erased. You can search the forums to find out how to flash it. You can fix this, it's very easy. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Tester123,

Have you ever seen this?  I have a Xbox 1.0 with an X2lite wired installed with alternate D0.  If I turn the chip off, Xbox boots fine.  If I turn it on, it blink 5 times (sometimes all green and sometimes last one is red) and then the DVD drive opens.  However, no matter what I do, I cannot get anything to display on screen.  I've tried connecting yellow rca jacks into multiple tvs and also s-video, but no luck?  This is happening with 2 X2lite boards that should have come pre-flashed with Crom.  Any help appreciated.  Thanks.

The cromwell bios requires you to use the standard rca cables that came with the xbox.  Did you hook these up directly to the tv?  When I say directly... I mean not through a AV Switch of any sort.

Yes, I'm using the RCA cable that came with the Xbox and they are plugged directly into the TV.

1. What does your Xbox do EXACTLY when you attempt to boot it up?
boots up, green, down, up green, down, boots up red/green

2. What did you do to it right before you started having problems?
took out enigmah chip that was professionally soldered and then started putting in matrix, the matrix would make it boot up green/red, then after awhile xbox alone with no modchip in it started doing it

3. What version of Xbox do you have?
1.o

4. What mod chip are you using?
going to be using matrix

5. Will it boot up with the chip disabled?
no, used to though

6. Will it boot up with the chip enabled?
no, never has

7. What error code are you getting, if you're getting one?
n/a

can you PM me on cost/etc

1. What does your Xbox do EXACTLY when you attempt to boot it up?  Well it turns on green, then turns off, then turns on green again then turns the whole xbox off.  Sometimes when you hit the power button just the fan spins, doesnt turn any color.
2. What did you do to it right before you started having problems? Spilt solder on one of the sides of the samsung chip after attempting a mod install
3. What version of Xbox do you have? 1.0
4. What mod chip are you using? X2 Pro
5. Will it boot up with the chip disabled? no
6. Will it boot up with the chip enabled? no
7. What error code are you getting, if you're getting one? none

I doubt this can be fixed but I just wanted to know

Wow, that's nasty.

I can fix this, but it would probably be cheaper for you buy another mobo.

After shipping both ways, chip (Samsung K4D263238M) removal, and installing the LPC mod... you'd probably come out better buying new mobo.

Yes, the chip must be removed for proper cleaning and replaced if you broke any "legs", trying to remove the solder.

biggrin.gif Thanks guys for your help.  I just resolved the issue today.  The RCA cables that came with my Xbox were the ones with the yellow, red, and white connectors.  There was also a S-video connector on this video cable.  I was able to borrow a video cable from another Xbox that only had the RCA jacks on them and no S-video and this solved the problem.

So the video cables that came with my Xbox do not appear to work correctly, but I'm good now and moving on to loading evox.

1. What does your Xbox do EXACTLY when you attempt to boot it up? Tries to boot twice, followed by a green/red flash
2. What did you do to it right before you started having problems? Attempted to mod with a matrix (yes I know I am a dumbass) and overtightened a bit, pogo pin slid off of one of the lpcs and chipped the mobo (small chip)
3. What version of Xbox do you have? 1.0
4. What mod chip are you using? Matrix
5. Will it boot up with the chip disabled? No
6. Will it boot up with the chip enabled? No
7. What error code are you getting, if you're getting one? none

I can take pics if necessary
