Question About Evox.ini File Edition...
« on: April 21, 2003, 08:21:00 AM »

Hello!

Quick question about the AutoAddItem command inthe EvoX INI file.

My question is how this searches a path to determine the name that's actually displayed through the dash board.

Specifically, I want to knoww how it reads the name that's displayed in the dash board...I thought it just displayed the folder name that a default.xbe file was found in, but for some games/apps something different shows up in the dashboard in the launch menu.

Anyone know what it keys off of, and how I can edit those entries that are different than the folder name in my f: drive?

It reads the name that is 'coded' inside the files default.xbe Look in the tools section of this site to find a program to edit the names

Directly from the site:
QUOTE

>> XBE Renamer
XBE Renamer is a program which can modify the default Title Names for XBE's (XBox Executables). Some XBE's have the strangest Title Names which is annoying if using features like EvolutionX's or XBMP's autoadd applications/games.
XBE Renamer reads the current Title Name from the xbe-file (usually named 'default.xbe'). It then enables you to change the Title Name and save it back to the xbe-file. The application works both on xbe's on the harddrive and directly on the Xbox via FTP access.
