Evo X Bios And Iso
« on: November 20, 2002, 06:34:00 PM »

Do we need to flash the BIOS in order to use the EVO X ISO?  When we flash the BIOS are we actually flashing XBOX BIOS or modchip BIOS?  What does the EVO X BIOS actually do compare to the original BIOS in XBOX?  Please give me some tutorial.......   :uhh:

you need to go to the newbie room with questions like that.  They are so basic its clear you didn't bother to look for tutorials before asking.
You never flash the original bios unless they are damaged.
The original bios do not allow backed up games, storing games on the hard drive, replacing the hard drive or blocking macrovision.  The modchip bios enable all that.
The evolution X software helps you utilize what the bios allow.
(Yes, you need to flash your modchips bios before using an ISO of Evolution x)

Bios is the file you flash your modchip with and the iso is the software that runs on your hard drive with the new dashboard.

If you flash your modchip with the evox bios and then power up your xbox you will think WFT as you will still boot to the original dashboard without menu system or ftp options
