got fuct up last week ,i have bought a ps3 very quite and 100compatible with all media ,free online gaming ,copy media to the hdd,ps home is cool ,very long controller battery life ,wifi ,web browser and more
so what are you waiting for guys ,lets fuc M$ and get PS3's

dam got banned was playing tekken 6 next thing I switched off and switched back on and got a message that the console is banned. Put my hard drive into the unmodded console and Live still works though shooooooo

And a hacked hd 20GB to 120GB.

i wrote 2 pages ago i was fine with 1.51 Hitachi, as of today, November 15, 2009 IM BANNED. LOL

oh well, fun while it lasted but ill still be playing offline.

it's too bad i cant install disc on HD anymore, i have to hear this jet engine roaring.. lol

does anybody know what happens to HD? does it get corrupted? i cant move it to non-banned system?

Just banned last night when i logged into my silver account. Never played games until verified and released.  Should have stayed unhooked since eveyone was being banned, but I guess I felt I was okay.  Using fw 1.51.  Maybe they look at the gamertag and seen there have been too many games played in a short amount of time.  Never had a gold account so I never played online.  Oh well.

yeah it will be corrupted everytime u put it on an unbanned console..
you can solve the  problem by reading this tutorial.. hope it helps !!

I thought that just running this Network Test will still corrupt your HDD if your Banned or due to be banned

After reading a lot of comments it seems that M$ found a way to detect if the firmware is the original or not. If you modified your firmware, it doesn't matter if you disconnect from live and connect in 1 month, you still will get banned. It seems that the wave will finish on 17 Nov, after that date i would like to know if someone survived.

thought I was safe: BenQ w/ 1.6 never played wave 4, never played early, got banned after about 4 hours of playing MW2 (retail copy). Go figure....

heck i played a backup of batman arkham asylum when it first came out. I have not played a backup since. I have been playing fallout 3 for the past month but thats an original disc. batman was verified with abgx360 and i was using verbatum 2.4x. Microsoft either has a way of seeing the firmware or they nailed me for the 250gb hard drive mod. Has anyone been banned since a 250gb upgrade? I doubt that Microsoft would nail people for the hard drive since you could buy it at a flea market and not know any better. They probably found a way to see the firmware.

If you got banned and you don't want to buy a new console then read the following:

M$ registers your serial number when you are banned, you can change it by buying a new motherboard (about $30 in ebay) going to a 3rd party technician and asking him to change your motherboard (about $10). And thats it!

Also if you don't want to get banned again you could go to a 3rd party technician and ask him to restore the firmware to the original. That would make your console only read original games.

- Can I get a ban if I do not have Live account? i.e. plugging net cable in if a new game needs update prior to playing, or having it connected to the net just to play via system link (local network @ student dorm)
