Thought I'd add my story.

I've modded 6 xboxes or so now.

2 of them I know for sure are banned and both occurred within the past week. Both were lite-ons. One was banned last saturday (the 7th of nov.) and the other was banned just last nite the 12th of november. The games never had any unverified games played on them and were all burned at 2.4x on verbatim's from singapore. Something is DEFINITELY up. It's not just the games and stealth that is getting these boxes banned because I checked and RECHECKED every disc ever played on these systems and all passed with flying colors.

I haven't actually checked the other xboxes that were modded, 2 of the others were samsung ms25's and one was a benq, when I get home I'll see if they've been hit with the ban hammer. One of the others is never online at all in the first place so i'm not worried about it.

Beyond that these systems all work great and now we dont need to worry about stealthing our games on them. As far as i know they'll still work for system link and such so I still see the hackers coming out on top on this one?

got banned last week, lite-on 1.5
flashed my console at day 1, used to play games on live only for couple of months or so. since then using live mostly for game/dashboard updates.
never played wave3 game on my old firmware.
never played any non-verified or pre-release game, neither live or offline for that matter !!

After reading all of these posts, I really have to wonder how they are detecting us.

M$ previously could not detect modified firmware. As far as I know they still can't, but you have to wonder, with all the recent bans, if M$ found a way to directly detect the firmware regardless of what games/media/stelth was used.

With my new knowlege of the situation I would say if your cache is clean, meaning that you have not played any unstelthed, prereleased games, or used bad media recently, and you have not been banned yet, you can problably reflash your console to the original unhacked firmware and avoid being banneed. If you do try this make sure you play offline for a while to clean the cache if needed.

This is just an observation in no way have I tested this because my unit is already banned. Just a thought that makes sense to me.

My friend has yet to be banned so we will put this to the test and I will post our results in a few days.

They banned my 0078fk but don't seem to realize that I still have another xbox system next to my closet that I haven't plugged in in well over a year.

This one that got banned was free, I paid nothing for it. It is a premium.

My other one isn't a premium but it looks like one, just put the chrome bezel on the drive and all I gotta do is grab a new hdd for it because I really don't give a f*** about the stuff I downloaded off of live on my old account, just going to scrap it. I probably have $40 worth of content on that drive and all my achievements mean absolutely nothing at all to me. One of their bug ridden games corrupted its own save file and I played that one so much that I even purchased the retail disc.

Anyhow if I want to play online they can keep live, I'll just buy a playstation 3 or even better since I already have a PC that is leaps and bounds more powerful than this old crappy hardware we are scrounging around on these forums about information on bans about... I can just play the legit games on that instead. My PC screen looks nice and I even have the PC plugged into my big screen to begin with.

So I have Mw2 backup and have been playing for a few days online, using netflix and other live games. No Ban yet. Hitachi spoofed as a liteon. Not too many people have been having issues with the spoofed drive. Anyone banned with hitachi spoof?

You all have got to go to xbox.com and look in their forums a whole bunch of non-modded xbox's got banned, and M$ is just telling basically to go and buy another one for Christmas.... How exactly do you fight a big corporate giant like that?

I have also been hearing about those too but I have a feeling that they might have bought those on ebay and maybe it was modded already. My 1.61 benq just got banned yesterday and I heard people got banned too playing legit copy of games with modded xbox. Do you guys think they can scan by any chance?

with the XBOX itself... that jackass powered it on without the DVD drive...

Theres a ROM chip that records activity on your xbox
and power on without a dvd drive connected is a pretty big ass red flag
you want to avoid.

cuz as soon as u connect that information is uploaded
and as thier servers sweep console ID's and reach yours and sees that, your banned.

Btw, staying offline wont help either a cousin of mine hadnt played in like 8 months
and turned on today to a ban. they record everything u did dumb
dont even play a game that fails and say "oh ill just unplug my network"

My IX 1.6 Lite on was banned,

I only upped the firmware recently from 1.51 so I could play the new wave of games.

I did put the acive.iso disc in when it was 1.51 because I totally forgot what firmware was on it as I mod a few boxes.

They fuct me over in the last ban, banning my Elite that was under warranty, then it got rrod, (fix kits arn't working)

But hey I have had great gaming for a year for £130, and I'm still smiling.

Playin Assassin Creed now and don't have care about the release date.

Hello everyone!

The Facts:
- One Box with Samsung and FW 1.51 flashed with "iprep" not banned, online, gold and play 4waves games all the day <- was it the name of the flash tool? I can`t remember.
- 2 boxes with Hitachi 1.61 FW flashed with jungleflasher, banned, one with silver one with gold.

Should it be the flashtool that "make" the boxes banned from live?

What i have forgot to say is that we only played fifa10 from the same burned iso file. one banned the other box still live since 2 years o so

Hitachi FW ixtreme 1.51, no ban yet, been online since mid october almost everydaym playing fable 2, gears, lost odyssey(no online but live conneted) and borderlands on live.

all games were abgx tested for ss, dmi except for gears because that's an old game i burned over 2 years ago.

I never played any games online because I didn't have a Xbox Gold subscription, and just noticed today my console had been banned. I never played any unstealthed discs either. I rarely used Live, mostly to download some demos, but it's still slightly annoying to have a banned console. All games still work, both burned and bought.

[Edit] And I have a Benq drive with iExtreme 1.6, in case somebody is interested.
