...because otherwise (I'm not sure so don't quote me on this) I wouldn't be able to play regular Xbox games.

Too bad.  You got quoted anyway.  But that's okay:  You are right in a way - Without at least the harddrive upgrade you cannot play the regular xbox games.  Since the harddrive costs an arm and a leg, you might as well get the premium bundle anyway.

I haven't had time to play mine much.  It worked for the first few hours I've played it. Maybe I'll get more time tomorrow to check it out.

Mine's not coming for a while, seeing as Dad says he'll get one when no one is fighting for one. Oh, and BTW, Best Buy employies aren't allowed to buy em until 1 week after release. (Dad works there part time)

P.S. - Those who are looking for XB360's still arnt gonna find any at stores 'til sometime beginning of next year....you shoulda camped out like most of us who got it... :P

The stores in my area seem to expect small shipments in the next week or two.  Keep in touch with your local stores, find out when they are getting delivery, and get there early in the morning.  If you have a Sam's Club or a CostCo in your area, they make the best bundle for $440 which includes a second wireless controller and a battery charge and play kit for the controller.  A really friendly receiving manager at a store like that in my area is going to call me when he gets delivery or confirmation of delivery of his next pallete of xbox 360s so I can go there the next day to buy one if I want.

Since then, I got one off ebay for $515 that comes with 2 games.  I don't want those two games.  I'll sell them on ebay for $80 or more and bring the cost of my xbox 360 premium to $435 which is the same price as it would have cost from a local store for me with tax.  You can get a good deal from ebay if you are patient and creative in your searches. Most people aren't that patient or that creative though, I guess.

My 360 works fantastic.

I only have Perfect Dark (which kicks ass) and it has been fine, no issues at all.

The one gripe I have is that my Creative Zen takes at least 4 minutes just to bring up my list of songs, and this is even after a mandatory firmware upgrade for it. I'm sure its not a 360 issue but it's kind of a piss off.

No problems here either, I saw a site indicating some issues in PGR3 (locking up) but I haven't seen or hear of any problems from my unit and it's been on 24/7 since the day after release! tongue.gif

You guys may hate me but I bought two the day of. I camped out for 4 hours and got two of them (had a friend come with me). I put both of them on ebay and made $890. I had to sell them. Its not worth it to play it when you can sell it like that. I will wait til i can mod it to buy it.

i dont have one yet (damm m$ and their late release for australai), but i would bet any problems are heat related.

id say cooling mods would be a good idea for your investment

So im home from iraq and im really happy came home to the wife and she suprised me with the xbox 360 bundle the one with four games the hard drive the complete works for 716.00 well i was really suprised i went to sleep and teh next morning planned to play it hooked it up and played for some time loved it, well i decided to go get on the internet to e-mail the buddys over in iraq to let them know of the good news and how great the system was, but i relized that i had no wireless signal infact the router wasnt working at all i had to go direct from modem to computer. At first i thought it was maybe a shortage so i bought a new router hooked it up it was working fine, went to turn on xbox 360 again for a few minutes and i was happy, went back to computer to check movie times for me and the wife and the router wasnt working, i said this couldnt be right, i called my little brother who works at wal-mart and asked him about it, he said that his stores had them on like a mos ago the pre retail version and it had messed up there telzons slowed them down and knocked off some of the wireless devices there said it may have some sort of small EMP signal or something, so i boxed my 360 and plan to take it back i dont want the wife to know i know she worked hard on getting it for me, but it has to go i cant keep buying routers and returning them pretty soon people at wal-mart will catch on to me doing something wrong with the router, any suggestions on how to fix this problem before i take it back, AM I THE FIRST to report this error?

Help Me  Please I dont want to be bored back in the U.S. for 3 mos  then be sent back to iraq for another 9 mos and cant tell the guys any more good news about the 360 we were pretty happy over there knowing it was rlsd We didnt know of any of the errors, atlesst i didnt know of any till I was Home playing my own system.

IM PISSED  grr.gif  Very close to taking my Gov't issued rifle to it if the 360 wasnt so expensive

i have a premium, The extra's you get with premium are well over $200, so its better to pay $400 for a premium and get $500 worth of goods.

Works fine. Played perfect dark, nothing like the orginal, traded it in, played ridge racer 6. It's alright, over 200 races, plan on beating it and trading it in, waiting for a game to keep, and exploits.

Mine's been 99% trouble free. The dashboard has frozen twice (once after ripping a CD, and some other random time), and Halo 2 froze when doing a quick load between areas (which means I lost my hour of progress).

But for the most part, especially in PD0, it's been awesome!

Still without a single problem on mine...

I wonder, the people with problems

what's the ambient temp, and what orientation is your Xbox?

As for me my room is pretty cool at 62 degrees (my theater room in the basement), and the console is horizontal...

I would imagine cooling is slightly less efficient when vertical. Just something to think about for those with problems, considering most of them seem rooted in overheating

Personally, I think they should of waited to launch the 360 til next year... WAY to many incidents with problems. the 360 is shit right now... were gonna have 6 more versions till they start making another consoler in 5 years. My four xbox's are working better than those things. I think the smashmyxbox site is very promotional, very thoughtful, and it was indeed needed. I couldnt think of a better use for a 360.

You do know most people who aren't having problems are probably too busy playing it to come here and vote? Also, I got mine on the 19th, played almost 12 hours for the first day (with a few 1 hour breaks) no problems as of now (some artifacting in PDZ, but nothing at all notiable as it only happened 1nce or 2ce after being on for 8 hours)
