I am still running my 29 wire homebrew modchip. Now that was a real pain to install!

I guess since I only use XBMC to stream video ndure is fine. I don't know why I would use anything else.

I have 4 XBoxes, all modded. 1 XBIT, 1 DreamX premod, 1 X3, and 1 ndure which I just figured out how to do and will be doing exclusively from now on.

I got a refurbished box at Gamestop for $99. For all the things you can do with a modded box I can't believe the sweet price.

I hv a smartXX V2 in my box but that was the first and last time I do that again, softmodding is so easy and for normal gaming quite ok, perfect for lazy guys like me

yes there is a lot of support around modchips because most of us installed way back in the day, and to tell the truth i didn't know about exploits and all that till months after.

plus common its easier with a chip, takes 20 min to install, software is ftp over and its done, yes turn off the chip and your on live.

Everything works as it should and no worries of fucking it up.

TSOPs are great cuz there easy and free, but if you mess up you dont have a choice. Do softmodded xboxs still have clock errors if you unplug them?

Modchip Only, powerfull smooth and clean... it's too good.

My choice:
Whatever from SmartXX is fine.

Tried Softmod. One word, crap. Too many things can go wrong if your a complete newb. And even if you understand it it takes just one deleted file to render your xbox useless.

Did a TSOP with a switch so I could run two BIOS's. The solderjob was REALLY easy, really if you are beginning at soldering, do a TSOP. But I didn't put a heatsink on my MXPC and it blew.

Then put an Enigmah in my one of my older boxex a few years ago and never turned away from modchips again. If you have the money, a modchip will do you good.

LOL , I feel your pain buddy, but I feel its probably more down
to your soldering skills , or lack of them.

I have done TSOP's flashes as well as fitting Xeniums, Xecuters and
SmartXX's.

If I am fitting a modchip then I like it to have its own built-in
o/s makes things so much easier and lots more recovery options.

Regards
