"hands tied" as quoted from a mod. ????

seems like all thats updated is the ads on the front page. probably because they are still paying. xs fell off, a while ago and probably theres a contract in place for those ads to keep running. such a shame.

it is a real shame.

back in the xbox 1 days this site was a real good place to come for xbox mods, tutorials and chat.

when the 360 was in development there was tons of topics and discussions on the new hardware and games.

i havent even seen a single post about the new xbox 720 (durango) hardware even though the specs were released weeks ago.

and the front page hasnt been updated in yonks.

Sux doesn't it? sad.gif

We're still around taking care of reported posts, spam, and account suspensions behind the scenes, but that's pretty much all we can do at the moment. We were working towards some changes late last year, but people disappeared and that plan seems to have taken a dump as well.

People can still post news... just not on the main page. sad.gif

This is the closest I've seen to a full explanation on the topic. But, I think someone can go much further with it.

Perhaps it is time that someone with the full knowledge of the situation share all of the details (and name names) with what's left of this community. Those of us who have held out hope for a recovery I'm sure would appreciate it. Besides, what's to lose at this point?

I wouldn't say that anyone at this point could go much further with an explanation. As Alex548 said, some people are AWOL and a couple of them have the keys to the castle. Without them, there isn't much more anyone can do atm.

In other words, those who own this site have abandoned it. Am I right? If the owner of a site has abandoned it, then that gives the perception that it is not worth saving.

Perhaps the "keyholders" should be identified...

I am not sure why you keep pushing this matter.  An answer has been given.

- The site owner has not been heard from in quite some time.

Who the site owner is, is irrelevant. But if you really need to know run a whois query on this domain.....wow that accomplished a lot.

Why has he been AWOL? Who knows.  Injury, illness, incarceration, apathy...... does it matter?

If this site no longer meets your standards, find one that does.  If you still see value here, then use it.  Stop beating a dead horse. I can assure you that no matter how frustrated you are, the remaining staff here are even more so.

still sucks tho, been checking back here now and again since the last nov.11 party buffalo post and to my dismay site still abandoned. Love(d) xbox-scene, sucks to see it dead in the water and it'll be in my nature to keep checking on it for who knows how long and keep wishing for a return.
