Wow! Been awhile since I thought about that..

I think it was designed by a former user,  Sector3 I think was his name.  I got into quite the flame war with himat the time. Pissed him off when I started using this as my signature...

I even had a variation of his avatar for awhile, got the idea for the donkey when I edits a version of his avatar and made it look like a donkey's ears.
