I registered IntheDark as my nickname, but it appears on the forums as inthedark.
But looking at other user nicknames, they have names like SaMpLe_NicK... so it can be possible.

Is there a way to change my nick to appear as I want?

Nope.  It is stuck how you initially register it.

Then the only way to have my nick with the caps as I want is to create another account?
I'll be very grateful if any staff member could simply change the letters "I" and "D"... but if that is asking too much, I'll need to move to a new account for that.

Please READ the rules before posting.  It is the FIRST topic.

Account Names:
When making your account name, take the time to think about what you want to be known as. We will not change your name later if you request it. So, pick your name wisely. Don’t make a new account later for a new name, as we ban new accounts we catch for that. So take some time, and really consider the name you choose. Avoid fad concepts, as in a year or so you’ll hate the name. Trust us, we get a couple dozen change name requests per week, and we give them all the same answer.. no! Also, don’t make a new name for Xbox, PS3 and PSP forums. Only one name is needed, as it works globally across all of our site.

If you create a new account you lose both accounts.
Once more check the rules. No Multi Accounts
