Anyone know what the problem is with the search engine on this site, it is horrid. Really bad! I can't even search on why it is so bad, because it never seems to return results. This is one site where you really can't tell people to search before asking.

Anyone know if it is going to ever get fixed?

I always just use google and most of the time this site will be in the results

I agree, it's terrible. I've never seen a worse one on any other forum. It leaves everything to be desired - you can't search a specific subforum, you can't sort by date, the results appear in a random order, it returns posts rather than threads so you see the same result multiple times, and about half the time it just doesn't work.

I've never complained before, though, because I've usually found what I want with a bit of reading, or if I really have to search I go through Google. Type in what you want, followed by 'site:forums.xbox-scene.com' (without quotations) to limit the Google results to findings from this site.

It would be great if this forum was given a better Search feature, but for now, that's a good solution.

Simply put the server cannot handle the load of queries that are submited through the IPB engine.

If you had simply looked in this forum you would see about 10 other threads with the same title. Get used to it or ship out.
