Wii Forums?
« on: March 17, 2007, 05:33:00 AM »

Why doesn't xbox-scene have forum section dedicated to the Wii console? There is a PS3 section completely dedicated to Playstation 3. And Nintendo Wii is doing like 75% better than PS3 in nearly all angles possible. If Xbox-scene has a Playstation 3 section there should be a Wii section cause to be honest the PS2 is still doing tons better than PS3.

Anyways there is a new version of Openwii opensource firmware available at www.openwii.org which is version 1.2 if anyone is interested go take a look.

Xbox1 Newbie Chat is an appropriate forum.  This is a topic for the Compliments / Suggestions / Complaints forum.

Posting there may have shown you the other many threads about this.

Also, posting in the Wii forum would have shown you the pinned topic.. about the other many threads about this.

Moving...

..and you know why that is right? They are hosted BY their SPONSOR. their job is to push the products sold by their sponsor. Worse, the guy who runs max console (you know.. the guy that has the hands of the sponsor up his ass pulling the strings and paying the bills) also has gotten his hands INTO the product biz. Don't expect much in the way of unbiased opinions and reviews from them down the line.. especially for some of the wii products or the xcm stuffand some other stuff..

There is a huge difference between having sponsors.. like XS does.. and being solely hosted and practically owned by them.

For the Sponsor.. I completely understand. Hell.. if I was the sponsor I'd find some pos site too and pull the strings and have the site only publish my point of view on my products. but for the site.. any site.. that publishs the biased content and passes it off as legit.. it's sad. Little more need to be said about it. People know where to find legit reviews. They also now know where NOT to find legit reviews.

Yeah good point and its pretty bad watching all the people on IRC complain about their cyclowiz chips. Having so many different issues and most of them got the chip because of the BS on maxconsole. So i have been telling everyone to just buy a chip and programmer and use the opensource firmware cause paying like 40-50$ on a 1$ chip is pretty wack.

Or like those MSP430 chips you can get chip and programmer for 20$ compared to spending 40-50$ and have to rely on an unreliable source (cyclowiz). The Wii scene is growing pretty fast when it comes to these different opensource firmwares like Openwii and Wiifree. They will put all of the drive modchips out of business until there is a more proper chip made. Competition is good but places like maxconsole misleading everyone stinks!
