While it's a pretty good idea, IPB hacks make upgrading the forum software harder and generally increase the risk of security issues on the forum as well.. so I don't see it happening any time soon unless it becomes a standard IPB feature.

If you want a signature image,  image in a thread  or avatar, it's hardly a big stretch  for you to make sure it is the correct size. The size can quite easily be found by right clicking the image to check the properties. Even the free image editing tools can simply and quickly reduce the size to the correct dimensions.
If you can't be bothered to check it  or resize  like everyone else then don't put up the pictures

I understand what you're saying.  It's annoying because, while it's easy to simply modify your pictures, hardly anyone ever does.  Unfortunately even adding those tags wouldn't solve this because those same people wouldn't use the tags.

I've been BEGGING Invision to make this a standard feature in IPB for years now (literally) but for some reason it's still not a feature.  There are plenty of hacks to do this but, as appleguru said, X-S has a strict policy of not using any hacks or modifications for ease of upgrade and security purposes.
