It seems combo devices (where you've got a wireless keyboard + mouse going through one single base station) are unlikely to work.

Bomb bloke is correct. I have yet to hear of or use a combo wireless set that work as intended.

I have a wireless mouse/keyboard set with a single receiver for both and when plugged into my xbox only the keyboard works.
