One is modding a wireless doorbell in to the xbox and using the actual doorbell as the remote. I tried this one with mixed results. I could get it to work but the distance was not good if the top was on the xbox (5 feet or so) compared to 15 feet or so it had with the top off. I could not figure out how to remedy this so I scraped it.
Another tut I think had the power cord mod you get to make anything wireless that plugs into a wall receptacle. How it works is you plug the device into it then plug it in the wall. Then they wired the xbox to stay on all the time and turned it on and off by the remote. This idem is usually found to make things like lamps wireless.
