Im not interested or nething because i am far too unqualified, but i was just wondering how you would become a moderator. What requirements do they each have to have.

Usually.. an admin (hsdemonz) asks who we (head mods) think would be a good mod for such and such forum, suggestions are made, a general consensus is taken, and boom.
There are tens of thousands of members, so you have to catch the mods eyes.. in a good way.

Also you have to contribute to the scene with 1 million dollars and split it with the mod's.

It's not all about post count, look at palmore, his mod is pawnage. Being part of a team like nexgen helps to, you just have to do somthing that inspires the scene.

Heinrich said it all.

Alternative is to be part of a dev team where we host the forum and want the dev teams to be regulars so we extend mod privs to key staff.

As for someone else gaining admin rights.. good luck.
