USB keyboards/mice/drives are "generic" devices, meaning that if one should work, they all should work.
Sometimes companies release models that don't quite fit the standards. Certain systems may reject these. If no one's gotten around to making a list of keyboards/mice yet, that probably means the vast majority do in fact work fine (the only people who bother to come online and state whether
their's are working are the ones who are having problems - everyone else doesn't think twice about the matter).
But! For what it's worth, I have a CG-2015M keyboard that works fine. No idea when I got it, it would probably be sometime back in '06?
The thing was bundled with a very small optical mouse (a travel version with a retractable cord, not very comfortable for long term use), which had no ID on it other then the LAZOR brandname. Looks similar to the SO-2029, which was probably made by the same company, but my one's rather more rounded in shape.
I also have a Microsoft optical mouse (X800898), that works fine, too.
I assume you were talking about
this list? It seems that combos (where both the keyboard and mouse are attached via the
one cable) are indeed unreliable under XBMC. This is probably because they're using a USB hub, and support for those is somewhat limited outside of Linux (which, as usual, follows completely different rules to everything else).
