Ok, as I peruse the forums all day long, I keep getting barraged with the stupidest questions that have been answered a million times already. I think we need to make it so people need to subscribe as a member, then they aren't allowed to post for three weeks. During this three week period, they will be forced to look into the tutorials and FAQ's, and use the search button to try and answer their question. If, after that three week period, they still haven't found the answer they are looking for, then they can be allowed to ask the board about it. This would make the boards a lot easier to navigate for the rest of us, cause then most of the crap that we usually have to read will be gone.

why do people keep posting things like this? theres never going to be anything implemented and it wouldnt matter anyway... i see 'senior members' asking obvious questions as well...

drink or die, your suggestion is a wee bit extreme.. it should be at least 2 days, 3 at the most.

the reason why any such suggestion is quickly rejected, is the fact that they are unable to implement this into the forums.

Wow, that's so rough for you! Maybe if your account was deleted you wouldn't have to face these difficult and frustrating questions all day long wink.gif

Whats even more funny.. is that this doorknob DID NOT SEARCH.

If he had.. he'd seen the numerous topics on this already.. and the comments and results of each one.

He thinks he's not a noob.. yet.. he did what they all do.. ignore basic site etiquette and didn't search before posting.

Maybe his account should be put on a 3 week waiting list.. and then maybe a test or something should be administered to only him.. where nothing short of a perfect score with give him access to the site, much less his posting privs.

Better yet.. people can send me a PM and vote on whether his account should remain open or closed.. we could do that to I suppose.

(don't send the pm's people.. that last one was a joke.. kinda)

So.. our official XS Dumbass of the Day is: drink or die

Search is your friend!
