Hdd Swap Without Modchip/softmod Etc

so im confused. is your brothers xbox working? with an un-origanal hdd? was his xbox modded? hard mod? soft mod?

in any case you need the eeprom to work with the mobo on your brothers xbox. unless its hard modded.

Swapping it into your Xbox will only work if his is chipped or flashed.

However your brother's Xbox is modded you don't touch xboxdash.xbe. Work out how it is modded, and which softmod you used, then you might get some sensible help.

Your two possible solutions are to either build an EEPROM reader (so you can correctly lock the new drive for use with that specific system), or to install a modchip (so that locking is no longer required).
