i think that parts of the forums should become members only
b/s/t should be left public as a few others but most should be viewable by members only

like general and the such

also cutting registration would be nice. all main scene members are allready here. anyone else signing up are all newbies.
private sections should be in-stated
no more loading pages as a guest

just since xmas (everyone got xbox's id assume) have these been bogged to hell

waiting 2 minds jsut to get a server busy signal sad.gif

BOOO!!!

gotta do something boys.
im up for 100% private access
but i know that wont happen

im not blaming the ops or mods or anything i know u guys have no control over this

its just all the vets are hurting cause of all the noobie's

has anyone else noticed an increase in ban's and thread locks.. or just me?

My thoughts. sorry for treading on ya.

I feel ya...

602 members in the last 15 minutes and it's 10:17pm my time.  When I signed up (wasn't ages ago), there were more around 250.

What an explosion.  I can't even offer any helpa round here because the wait is either to long or just times out...  dry.gif

How do you assume this? I go to xboxhacker.net like once or twice a month.. and I am not registered there. If I did register there, would that make me a newbie?

All guests here are not newbies. I know some are just as knowledgeable as we are. And, they may not find the need to post because they understand how much power the search button has  wink.gif

It will never happen! We'll close it before it becomes the private mens club.

As for leaving BST Public... We'll CLOSE BST period long before we go PRIVATE.

Ignorance runs rampant I see.  We are fueled by advertising.. which is fueled and encouraged by the contstant influx of new blood into the site.. and into the scene.  Some of the people you consider noob today could be excellent devs in 3 months.

I'm guessing that you consider yourself a vet... have you figured out who (y4wn) is???  smile.gif (IRC inside joke for those that don't know.)

Maybe there should be a forum section where only people who have joined for a certain amount of time can access. That way it will have nothing to do with post count, just plain old experience.

Maybe you could just chose select people who could use that section. You know chose by hand, add a few each day.

The mods/Admins weren't for the idea there - I doubt their views have changed.

I think the answer is really just more modding. Maybe more mods, but definitely more deletion of threads. It's heavy-handed, but ultimately fair I think. I mean, there's really no sense in leaving a question that's been asked a million times before open or wildly off-topic questions open. Outright deletion only leads to the morons asking "waht hapned 2 me thred!?!?!/1!?!!11?//," so I suppose just need more mods and have them act quicker and put up with less of this crap.

No.  This produces a class system.  We are not in favour of such a system.  It then becomes a matter of who we'd  (mods and admin) want in there.  It would be a lonely place. smile.gif

Take the staff.. add 20.. and that would be the total for the forum. Period.

smile.gif

So.. we won't be doing that. rotfl.gif

ED the Sock is one of the few reasons I keep Cable.  Fromage 2003 was funny.
