this has happened several times. turn on xbox goes to microsoft dash cant get to evox dash if i rebuild c:drive in computer its all fine again for some time this is the 2nd hdd i have tried. the evox dash will work for months at a time then just boot up to microsoft only. i cant ftp into box in this state either. any ideas.

You'll need to provide more information on your setup (eg, what sort of mods you have).

If I were to guess, I'd say you're using some old softmod, and the automatic dashboard updater built into some games (which fires up when you attempt to use Live services) is wrecking things.
