you can see the latest version of invision in action here : http://forums.invisionpower.com/

First we'll move to the new server though (next week I hope ... sorry for the delays ... blame the broken PSU) ... after that we'll upgrade the forum to a newer version.

I'm a fan of the way it looks now as well.  I've used a lot of message board software and Invision is my favorite by far.  The new version looks pretty similar but I'm sure it has a lot of fixes to speed up load times, etc.  Good luck with the new server!

can you sue techtv for causing a DDOS attack on this site.. that's basically what they did by doing all their shows on moddin and using this site. I mean its a twisted way to look at it but much more unbelievable things have gone to trial.

Nice.  Sadly, I'm sure they could be sued for this.

I can't believe that TechTV gets away with talking as openly about modding, filesharing, etc. as they do.  TechTV is owned by Paul Allen.  I'm glad that they are able to excercise this freedom but it shocks me sometimes how open they are about it.

I doubt we'll have that feature.. it'd be just another load on the server.

Besides, #Xbox-Scene on Efnet is better than any web based chat could be.

We already have the option of using a built in IRC chat mode.. we have chosen not to for many reasons.  Some bandwidth based.. others security based.

Assuming you connected to #xbox-scene on efnet.. and see others in the channel properly.. just start "talking" by typing.

If noone else in in the #xbox-scene channel.. chances are you didn't connect to an efnet server.

As shanafan has told you, it is in the works.  With such a large memberbase, we're not going to jump on a release the second it comes out simply because it's the newest.  Consider WindowsME.  I know XanTium was allowing plenty of time for any bugs in 1.3 to make themselves apparent to the public, and he was also waiting for the modifications to the forum skins.

Thanks for the suggestions, though.
