A Serious Suggestion

For those of you who dont know: Quick Reply/Fast Reply. Two different terms for essentially the same thing. Every time you view a thread, there will be a text box at the very bottom of the page you can type your reply in, instead of hitting the "reply" button and waiting for the next page to load.

I think this would be awesome for X-S. I think it would cut down on bandwidth A LOT - not having to load the whole extra page for a reply. Convienient for members, too.

There have been two threads on this in the past (yes, i searched tongue.gif):

The first is from January and the second is from last November, neither of which recieved a response by a mod, admin, etc.

Admins - What do you think?

I may ne be a admin but i do have an opinion on this here one.
I believe that although it would be good for us non-spammer members it would just be an exuse for others to post extra as they don't have to wait for the page to load.

I discussed this with a couple of the admins, and it was decided that the delay while waiting for the reply page to load is a good thing because most people here need at least that much time to formulate what they want to say and keep from saying anything stupid.  Hey, it's not foolproof, but it's an effort.

Is everyone here familiar with the Brady Bill?

No, we discussed it at length.  Maybe a lot of the people in this forum reply with half-baked ideas.  Perhaps these people aren't as prepared as you, and clearly not half as arrogant.
