Locking Of Certain Threads Discussing Releases

I agree. I find it difficult to stay on the right side of the fence sometimes on X-S... However, I think the "gray" area is very large on this forum, and only extreme violations are usually locked.

For "that" type of talk, just get into the newsgroups or irc. They just don't want it on these boards because they would prefer to keep them up, and not closed by a government body.

I have no problems with the discussion of NFOs, sizes of games, etc.  All that kind of discussion is informational only.  However, when it crosses the bridge toward, "Yes, I see the NFO, now where can I download the game"...that is when the thread will get locked or deleted.

Moved to Compliments/Suggestions/Complaints forum at poster's request.

I don't whole-heartedly agree with that release page myself, but I try to look at it this way: JohnDoe66 says he's having trouble burning "Enter The Matrix" to a CD-R....maybe Nero is telling him the image is corrupt.  Sure, I could assume he downsampled it and fit it to CD himself (quite a task, but for the sake of example), but if I see that a group released a CD-Rip that later got nuked.  That's one avenue I could consider before beating my head against the wall trying to help the guy out.

Xbox-Scene does not condone piracy, nor are we going to help someone get their pirated release to work.  That page can be considered an aid to keep us from wasting our resources.

yeah true enough,..
i do wanna make one point here myself regardingg games and shit...
finding/asking to find/looking for resources to get 'those' releases is one thing but i remembered someone here saying, quite some time ago, that
it's acceptable to get hold of those 'releases' but by law u gotta delete it after 24 hours?.. is that true?..

anyway, ... i know one thing though, ... actually buying the games kinda make me feel good... especially if they're A1 titles like Halo, Metal Gear, Shenmue 2 and those A1 titles for Ps2....

so for those of u who still wanna discuss releases, well i am sure there's plenty of nfos forums that u could get into...... just a thought and suggestion instead of coming into x-s and asking about it
