I would't mind seeing the ranking abolished.

I'm a noob (There I said it, that sucked), and often I see a lot of posts that say nothing.

Perhaps, yer stupid, or if you can't do that don't mod yer box.

I hate seein' that!

But, mostly I see ppl like cykiller, kkattfish, XanTium, that actually reply with real answers. That's Cool!!

The names mentioned deserve a cool soundin' rank, but alot of others........

keep post count, drop stupid naming of ratings so people have no real reason to spam to reach "genius" status.

i dunno. Cheerio has much more experience here and has been here longer but i will soon have the same post count. Thats because i have more time, not because i know more. I say dump the count.

I agree these people are straight up and should keep the ranking, there are some others but these ones stand out, and of course opjose, I miss him and cykiller,

It is easy for people to write posts that mean nothing and build up there post count. I read alot but dont post normally unless I have something to say.

For example:

MorfiusX - that is the coolest sig out - Tool own!!!

Me expressing my opinion on something completly unxbox related gets me another post - maybe I shell take this attitude to build up my post count and waste the site bandwidth writing meanless shit! - Post count mean shit - Take em away and put a better system in place - But hey I dont have stuff all post so why would i care!!

P.S - Even though I was using the tool example to prove a point - Tool Still do Own!!

Let's face it... POST COUNT means squat.. and so does the ranking.

Advanced User (my current ranking) doesn't hold much water when users with the same post count or higher post meaningless garbage, ME TOO's, etc. The member list is full of guys with artificailly high POST COUNTS.

On the other hand.. we've got some members with single digit posts, (some great posts sometimes) but are stuck with demeaning rankings.

I'd rather have my posts stand on their OWN merit, then have someone look at MY RANKING... and think one thing.. then see some other bum with the same RANKING making an ARSE of himself.

The Only ranking worth anything anyways are MOD and HEAD MOD! (<edit> and maybe DEVELOPER for guys with release like BENJ.)

I'd gladly see my POST COUNT/ RANKING disappear for the cause!

So.. what do you think? Time to scrap the POST COUNT / RANKING altogether, and have the only "RANKING be MEMBER or MOD"

uhh, if the posting ranks doesn't make u feel better than anyone which in my opinion it doesn't, but i can say it is like a ritual for scene like sites to have them!! what's the point anyway, there are some people who know they are not an xbox-genius, freak or whatever it's just post!! the people who post for fun not helping people or giving opinion know who they are and if not u know who they are!! I like the rankings and we should keep them, some people deserve what they get as far as the ranking, and u get known for respect on other sites, mIRC, and other programs!! people just know u better than seeing your as a xbox member than an xbox-freak with 1000+ post actually helping and distributing news etc.!! where keeping it!!
