Some Upgrades To My Old Xbox V.0
« Reply #15 on: November 03, 2009, 01:07:00 PM »

thanks for everyone.

I did it!

I just erase everything in C and E and then put a stock C (D:5960) on the root of C.

then used How to Softmod Your Xbox Using XboxHDM (Ndure) by Textbook.

however, because I already had the eeprom I just copied it into the eeprom folder and I didn´t have to Hotswap the hard disk.

guys, I never realized UnleashedX was that good. though I changed the dash to XBMC by reading the FAQ by Texbook (those blue questions, 12th question).

I acomplished everything I wanted, thanks to you guys.  beerchug.gif

mmm I changed the dash to xbmc and when I turn on my xbox with the eject button it gives me an error with several languages and I´m not able to power it on because it gives me that same error.

I´m going to try ndure 3.1 and tell them later ph34r.gif

Return your hdd to stock and repeat, this time add XBMC by ftping all the XBMC files to E\Dash and overwrite when asked.

this is exactly what I did for everyone to follow if they wish.
As you will see I´m going to use a DVD-R because everything will not fit into a CD-R

1- used the ndure 3.1
2- chose the settings that I wanted using this and this.
3- before using the make-iso-win.bat file I copied a C backup(a totally untouched C) into the "app" folder and all my xbox aplications backup - from emulators and roms to some useful stuff - and of course copied my eeprom file into its designated folder.
4- used the make-iso-win.bat file and waited a couple of minutes and the iso was there to burn
5- burned the iso with ImgBurn. it was 2.5 GB!
6- prepared the xbox and the PC for xboxhdm
7- unlocked the drive with unlock utilities******* unlock -a (remember that I copied the eeprom)
8- used xbrowser to delete everyting in C and E
8- used xbrowser to copy the backup of C
9- used the ndure script
10- waited patiently for it to finish (around 20 minutes, I´m not joking)
11- reboot it and locked the drive
12- put it into my xbox and it was good to go
13- checked it and UnleashedX was the dash, of course. I was able to use the MS original dash
and even all the apps I copied were there
14- using the UnleashedX´s xplorer I opened xbmc. with xbmc´s xplorer
I deleted all the files inside "dash" folder on the root of E.
15- then using the same xplorer in xbmc I copied ALL the files in the xbmc aplications folder
to the "dash" folder on the root of E.

I just hope this can help anyone as it helped me.
