Display Extension Through Linux?
« on: January 17, 2007, 04:43:00 PM »

What I'm wondering is if it is possible to run some sort of application under Linux that would allow me to show the display output from my Windows computer on a monitor hooked up to a Linux computer (PS3) on the same network.  I could run a VGA cable from my PC to my TV, but I'm wondering if there is an easier solution to get my PC to easily display on my Television.

D-Link media lounge can play movies an' stuff from your pc on your tv, don't know if it will let the tv function as a monitor tho.

you could control your windows pc remotely with your linux pc via network but it wouldnt be good like watching a movie, but if that was the case you could just samba and stream the movie.
